Back in San Diego for Thanksgiving and was sent this through the site - Thought I'd share it with ya'll. This is James and me at the Out 100 party with his sassy cover in the back. The party was a lot of fun - and kudos to Jeffrey Epstein (senior editor of Out Magazine) for making it happen.
I met sassy pants Melissa (Real World - New Orleans) - she's adorable, Danny Pintauro (Who's the Boss) he's so little, Chris Sieber (It's All Relative) Finally Chris!, and many many more amazing people.
Have a great Holiday and looking forward to seeing some of you at Bourbon Street this Sunday!

Hey Hey -
Wanted to add, these were the crazy moments in Tampa. We actually had a great time and met some really wonderful people. Our host Cheri was such a highlight. If there is anyone more frank and candid than Robb and I, haha, it's Cheri!
Most of the places we went were so fabulous and hospitable. Ho Ho's, Chambers and Mangroves just to mention a few. I think most of these places people kept their "members" to themselves. ;) Haha and don't misunderstand - the craziness wasn't a reflection of ASAP at all. They were just randoms that happened to come along for the journey.
All in all Tampa has provided us ALL stories that will last a lifetime!

Ok...Ok..Ok...
Where to even begin! James, Andra and I spent all day at Universal amphitheatre rehearsing for VH1's Big 2003 award show. It was great for us all three to be together again. It had been a while and it was fun to catch up, gossip and just have a good time. Haha it was us and about 75 other reality TV personalities. From Amazing Race to Cupid to Survivor, even skank-a-liscious Paradise Hotel. Haha! Something I learned very quickly. I think Boy Meets Boy was one of the few reality shows this season to have an IQ test. It reminded me of high school graduation rehearsal. Anywho, it should be a fun show. (airing on VH1 November 30)
With the taping running late I snuck out during Shania (sorry Shania - not that your show wasn't fabulous) and hopped on a red eye to Tampa to head to the ASAP event. Only problem was, it wasn't really a red eye. I had an hour and a half lay over in Dallas. So needless to say sleeping on the way to the east coast was nearly impossible.
I arrived and headed to the hotel to find Robb was stranded in Chicago so I would be solo for my first auctioned off date. We had a great time but I was so tired I just kept zoning. Poor guy - I hope he got his money's worth.
We headed to dinner with about 15 people - and then we headed to a bar called Valentine's. Haha! They sat us in this VIP room which was (and I'm not joking) the size of a bathtub and was decorated...are you ready...in colonial decor!! We felt like we were in a Family Feud tableaux!
The next day they wanted us up at 8am so we squeezed in an extra hour of sleep before we met our second round of dates. We actually had a great time at MGM studios. Robb and I went together and both of our auction dates were very cool guys.
Dinner was next and since we had switched hotels (this one was 45 minutes away from were we needed to be - we still don't get why) we finally get there and the guy who had set it all up is there TOTALLY wasted. The food comes and he opens his pants to expose himself and starts playing with his c*ck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We could NOT believe it. We threw down some cash and left. If I wanted to see someone play with themselves I would just stay home alone thanks. ;)
Anywho - It was an insane 3 days. We all learned VALUABLE lessons when traveling for these events. All in all between Robb, Brian H., Dan and our hosts Cheri and John we actually had a fun time. With the four of us - you can pretty much guarantee we can have fun anywhere.
Hey All,
Back from Tampa and OH MY LORD! - What an experience. I'll have to go into detail later but OH MY LORD! From being paraded around like a horse and pony show to bad leather Latino bars to some freak exposing himself at dinner I couldn't believe the fiasco! There were a few highlights of the trip however - our host Cheri was fabulous and the auctioned dates I went on were really great as well. Ha so yah...OH MY GOD! Not sure if I'll be getting back to Tampa any time soon.

HELL YAH!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure you've ALL heard by now but one more state down. There is still a lot of legal jargon and process to get through but Massachusetts just ruled for same-sex marriages.
This is an AMAZING step because it is offering equal marriage unions for both gay and straight couples. While Vermont and California allow civil unions with some of the "same" legal rights as heterosexual marriages - Mass has taken the leap and stated it is constitutionally illegal to discriminate against a couple in regards to marriage due to their sexual orientation. HUGE, HUGE Step for the LGBT Community!
Bush has said, "I will work with congressional leaders and others to do what is legally necessary to defend the sanctity of marriage."
Hmmm...Mr. Bush, I just want to know what exactly the sanctity of marriage is? Is it Pres. Clinton sticking a cigar where the sun don't shine? Is it Kobe Bryant cheating on his wife with a possible rape conviction? Or could it be Anna Nicole Smith marrying a 95 year old man, in turn guaranteeing being taken care of financially for the rest of her life?
Let me know if you would...That's Wes@WesCulwell.com. Thanks!

HOLY LIZARDS BATMAN! 20,000 hits! Thanks everyone for all the amazing emails and the hits on the site. We are working on a few new projects for wesculwell.com that should be up and running in the next month or so.
Well, it's official - I have it in my hand. The next issue of Instinct magazine will be an issue to pick up. I was asked to do the cover and I just got the final copy. It's a pretty sassy issue, and a little controversial. We'll have to wait 'til December. ;) Also, I will be posting pictures from the photo shoot in Trrouble in the next couple of weeks so keep checking back.
Not too much to report. We spoke at Crossroads High School last week here in Santa Monica. It was great to see so many kids who had watched and invested themselves in the show. I can't imagine watching a show like Boy Meets Boy when I was 15! I was sneaking peaks at the Soloflex commercials when my mom wasn't looking but to actually sit and watch a six part episodic with my family...This new generation is absolutely fantastic! We had a panel of four, Brian H., Franklin, Michael (the Latin with the eyebrows thinner than mine!) and me. It was actually a very intellectual panel and the first time I had heard, "the straight side," since the show. I am planning and hoping to do more of these reflective panels because the issues that are brought up are so relevant and delve more deep into the gay/straight relationships than the show was able to do in an hour a week.
Gearing up for a whirlwind trip to Tampa. Should prove to be a crazy time: Auctioned off dates, Busch Gardens, Dan and Brian together in a gay resort?!! Oh My! ;)
Haha - I'm off to the Happiest Place on earth, with *do I dare say it* a date. :P I'll check in later...

Haha...and thus it begins! What I love most about reality TV is that the media loves to build it up to perfection and then tear it right back down again. ;)
Here we go! Weeeeee!
"Boys Meets Boy is old news, but I gotz to go there. No one wants to talk about what happened in the final episode. America witnessed two supreme bottom beings pretending to be the perfect match. How is that winning?"
--Columnist Paulo Murillo in the Los Angeles gay
newspaper fab!, Nov. 7.
Pssst...Hey Paulo, the show was called Boy Meets Boy, but I love the free press! :) A reporter friend of mine sent this to me and I thought it was absolutely fabulous! Haha!
Chicago was amazing. I have never seen a more hospitable town. Our hosts pulled out the stops and really showed us the city. I can't wait to go back - even with the crappy weather. The people there are just so much more genuine and outgoing. The more you're out of So Cal the more you realize there is so much more REAL life and REAL issues going on.
At the Equalty event I met these two fantastic transsexuals - You want to talk about fabulous and tough. These ladies were in their late 40s or 50s and had been transgendered for the last 20 years or so. The fighting, discrimination and hurdles they have had to go through just to be themselves - and in a state that gives them no basic rights. (housing/employment) Truly inspirational human beings.
My friend Tom pointed me to the HRC website where you can see what kind of LGBT Legislation there is in your state. The link is:
www.hrc.org/stateaction/index.asp
Also take a look at:

And sign the petition regarding marriage rights.
The time for equal rights is not tomorrow, it's today.

If you don't like the weather in Chicago...wait five minutes.
Haha good lord it is SNOWING! So far I have seen monsoon rains, 75 degree heat, icy wind gusts and now snow. Haha. How do people live here!?
We had a kick ass time last night. Robb and I tore up boys town and caused plenty of trrrouble. We started the night at the 67th floor of the Sears Tower with our hosts Paul and Boyd. The views were fantastic! Then we continued with a bar crawl. Met some great people and drank like we were back on Boy Meets Boy. Haha! I also got a chance to see Boy Meets Goy last night for the first time. The Mad TV sketch on our show was brilliant!
Just confirmed two more projects. Will get the details hammered out and post them on Monday.

Hey All!
Just a quick note. Having a blast here in Chicago. The Equality Illinois event was VERY successful. They sold 42 tables for their gala in January. We learned a lot about the organization and the amazing work they are doing for LGBT rights here in Illinois. I am shocked at the lack of equal rights the community has in the state - no housing or work protection. These trips are so sobering because you really get to see first hand how much work there really is to do.

From Fire to Ice...
Well I just heard that flights from San Diego (well anywhere for that matter) to Chicago have all been canceled due to an ice storm that is attacking the windy city. Haha! I swear - I think I must be jinxed when it comes to travel. Here's hoping they open the airport tomorrow and Robb and I can get there with no major drama.
We hit up DeepDish on Saturday night up in Los Angeles - it was an amazing party. The crowd is so much better when they are there for the music instead of being there for the "high and a hookup" (i.e. circuit parties)Most the crowd was sober and we stayed dancin' 'till about 3am. Definitely check them out - An amazing DJ due.
Well, we are off to Chicago tomorrow. Cross your fingers. If you are in the Chicago area, I think there are still tickets available for the mixer. Check out EqualityIllinois.org for contact information.
Also just confirmed - Wednesday, November 12 at 8 PM at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center - Long Beach - LA CAGE AUX FOLLES benefit. Proceeds to benefit the Long Beach LGBT Center. Christopher Seiber (It's All Relative), Carole Cook, and Brian Hay (BMB) at last count were the celebs there to say a few words before the show. We'll be staying after for a post show reception.
See you all in Chicago.
