Ok, now that we've got the business side of things taken care of.
And that's Chicago!
Back again from the windy city; or should I say the windy, snowy, icy, sunny, dry city. I swear the weather changed more than I did while we were in Chicago...And that is saying A LOT! Haha!
The Chicago trip was just fantastic. It was good to see everyone again and to catch up and have some down time. It's funny, even though we all live in Southern California it's easy to get caught up with schedules and all of a sudden 2 months can go by and you realize you haven't seen the friends who you started this whole adventure with. Hopefully we remedy that in the future. Darren and Dan ended up not being able to come last minute; but James, Andra, Brian, Robb and I tore up Chicago and had a blast. The event with Equality Illinois was amazing. They did a great job and once again treated us all so well. I was very impressed with the Gala. They had 300 walk in tickets alone. For a non-profit event that is just unheard of. Thanks again Equality!
Another highlight was hanging out with Toni Ferarri from Paradise Hotel. Yes the "bitch" from the show; but she is a total sweetheart and a LOT of fun to hang out with. We met her at the VH1 Big 2003 awards and she is headed out to LA in the spring.
The flight home was interesting. It was just James and I back through Phoenix and then to Burbank. Since the show it's been kind of nice that separately we can slide under the radar but it's the first time that James and I have traveled together in quite a while. Traveling together brought back all the, "How are things going?" "You guys still together?" and just the general being spotted factor. We met some interesting characters and had a loooong but fun flight home.

Hey All! Wanted to give you an update on future projects. I just finished up the final details to host the Matthew Shepard Foundation Gala. The event is going to be March 20th in Denver, CO. I had a wonderful night out with Christopher (the Director of Development for the Foundation). You can get all the info at: www.matthewshepard.org. We went to Build-A-Bear to create my Bear for the auction, "Bear to Make a Difference." They will be having part of the auction on eBay as well as on the evening of the gala. Other bear makers include an impressive celebrity line up. It all goes for the foundation, so take a look. Here's a photo of my bear and me. I named him, "Bear to be Different Bear." It is actually a rabbit in a military outfit wearing silky panties and ruby slippers. It turned out faaabulous! :)
 Bear to be Different!
Off to Chicago on Friday with 7 of us from the show...Should be a lot of fun. First time all of us have all been together since the finale party. James, Andra, Darren and I will be cooped up together for the flight and add an hour or so lay over. Here's to lots of champagne for everyone! :)

Sorry it's been a while. I actually have been moving. No more crack den Hollywood for me. The car worked out just fine, but the $1,000 was ridiculous! Haha and the move was pretty smooth although I thought I could do it all by myself. Have you ever tried to move a queen mattress and box springs solo? Haha, it is not so easy! So imagine me trying to squeeze a queen mattress down a flight of 25 steps and across the street to a public storage container!!! But by the grace of (insert deity's name here) I got it out of the house and across the street. Here's to an easy transition!
Happy MLK Jr. Weekend! :)

Aye Dios Mio! Well, well, well. I'll give you all one guess as to where I am at right now. That's right, San Di-freakin'-ego. Haha, I think Andra put it best when she said, "Wes, when are you going to be honest with us and admit you never really moved to LA?" Haha, I swear that's how it feels.
To sum up the story, my best friend when I was living in Australia just arrived for the spring semester here in San Diego so I told him I would pick him up from LAX and drive him down to SD. Well, we got about as far as Orange County when my coolant light came on. Being the butch individual that I am, I popped the hood to see that my little coolant jug thing was empty. We bought more coolant and as I filled the jug thingy, I watched the liquid pour right through my engine. The more I poured the more it gushed out the bottom of my car. So here I am stranded in San Diego with my car in Orange and $1,000.00 later I will be able to pick it up tomorrow am. I can't believe it. Is it a sign? Should I just stay in SD? Haha! Oy! :)
On a lighter note, it is fabulous having my friend Jaime here from Australia. It's only been three days but already we picked up right where we left off three years ago. I've missed him heaps and can't wait to see what kind of trouble the two of us will get into.
All the best!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Haha! Lord! What a day! I came up from San Diego, (yes I was there once again watching my "dawg" Jackson for the weekend) for a photo shoot with People Magazine. They were doing a blurb on my "beau" and me. Yes, it is true...there is a current beau. I think a TV Guide article refered to him as, "Mr. Right Now," after we were spotted at the Out 100 party. So far he is still my Mr. Now--so I am not too sure how the term, "Mr. Right Now," holds up but it's a fun cliche to play with, as they usually like to do over there. Anywho, my Mr. Now comes for the shoot and James joined us as well. We then learn the focus has changed from romance (sorry Mr. Now--he got cut from the story BLAH! So much for gay human interest!) to a different aspect of reality tv. So no unveiling quite yet, but there are a few things in the works and I'll let you know about them here first. So who knows what will end up in the article. It will be fascinating to see what they get out of a day spent with James and me and my wonderful, "Mr. Now."
